Bennett Truck Center — Returns, Cancellations & Order Policies

These policies govern every order placed with Bennett Truck Center, including orders placed by phone, email, in person, or online. They match the terms printed on our estimates and invoices; by approving an estimate, paying an invoice, or placing an order, you agree to the policies on this page.

Estimates & Pricing

Estimates are a good-faith approximation of pricing and availability, based on supplier costs and availability at the time of issue. Pricing and availability are subject to change prior to payment. Estimates expire 7 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated in writing. Unless otherwise shown, estimates exclude sales tax and freight.

Payment & Order Processing

By approving an estimate, you authorize Bennett Truck Center to procure the listed parts on your behalf. All parts are new unless otherwise specified. Orders are placed with suppliers and processed only after payment has been received and cleared, unless credit terms have been formally approved in advance. For orders placed using Net Terms or credit card, shipment will not be released until a signed sales order approval and a fully completed, signed Credit Card Authorization Form (if applicable) have been received and verified. Bennett Truck Center reserves the right to hold shipment until all required documentation is properly completed. Title to goods remains with Bennett Truck Center until paid in full.

Estimated Dates & Delays

Any completion, build, ship, or delivery date provided by Bennett Truck Center is a good-faith estimate only and is not a guaranteed date. Time is not of the essence. No date is binding on Bennett Truck Center unless expressly designated in writing as a "Guaranteed Date" and signed by an authorized manager.

Bennett Truck Center is not responsible for delays of any kind, including without limitation delays caused by suppliers, manufacturers, vendors, builders, freight carriers, parts availability, backorders, core availability, quality-control holds, or circumstances beyond our control. Delay beyond an estimated date does not constitute breach and does not entitle the customer to cancel without the fees described in these policies.

Returns — Eligible Stock Items

Every return, without exception, is subject to a fee — Bennett Truck Center does not offer fee-free returns. Return requests on eligible stock items must be made within 30 days of delivery; after 30 days, returns are not accepted. To qualify, parts must be unused, uninstalled, in their original packaging, and accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase. All returns require prior authorization — submit a Support Request or call/text 737-204-9316 before shipping anything back; items sent without an approved return authorization will not be accepted.

Approved returns are subject to the manufacturer's return policy and a minimum 25% restocking fee, plus all shipping & handling costs — including original outbound shipping (even when offered free at the time of sale) and return shipping — and any non-recoverable vendor charges, all deducted from the refund. Returned parts are inspected on receipt, and refunds are processed after inspection passes, on an estimated timeline of 30 to 90 days from receipt depending on the volume of returns being processed at the time.

Cancellations — Stock Items

Stock items canceled or refunded after payment or prepayment are subject to a minimum 25% restocking and/or cancellation fee, plus all shipping & handling costs and any non-recoverable vendor charges. Cancellation fees apply to the parts subtotal, excluding tax and core deposits.

Special-Order & Drop-Ship Items

Due to the nature of drop shipping and special-order procurement, deposits and payments on special-order items are non-refundable once the order has been placed with the supplier. No returns, cancellations, or refunds are permitted on special-order items, electrical components, custom builds, or items marked non-returnable by the manufacturer.

Custom & Special-Order Builds

Custom-built, special-order, performance, and made-to-order items — including engine builds and long blocks — are built to the customer's order and are not returnable. If the customer cancels after payment:

  1. Before component procurement begins, a 25% cancellation fee applies.
  2. After components have been ordered, coated, machined, or treated, a 50% cancellation fee applies.
  3. After assembly has begun, the order is non-cancellable and non-refundable.

Refundable core deposits are always returned in full on cancellation. Cancellation fees apply to the parts subtotal, excluding tax and core deposits.

Core Charges & Deposits

Where applicable, core charges are collected as a refundable deposit — not as a taxable sale of goods — to ensure return of the customer's used, rebuildable component after purchase of a replacement. Core deposits are credited in full or in part upon return of an acceptable core within the required return period, and are refunded in full on any approved cancellation. Full details: Core Return Policy.

Returned cores must match the purchased component type, be rebuildable and complete unless otherwise approved, and must not be cracked, windowed, seized beyond rebuildability, or otherwise non-repairable. Failure to return an acceptable core within the required timeframe may result in partial or full forfeiture of the core deposit.

Freight, Damage & Shortages

All shipments must be inspected at the time of delivery. Any freight damage or shortages must be noted with the carrier at delivery and reported to Bennett Truck Center immediately. Bennett Truck Center is not responsible for damages occurring during transit beyond assisting with the carrier claim.

Fitment & Customer Responsibility

It is the customer's responsibility to verify part numbers, specifications, fitment, and compatibility prior to purchase and installation. Bennett Truck Center is not responsible for incorrect parts ordered due to customer error.

Warranty

All warranty terms — coverage by brand, the No-Questions-Asked program, exclusions, void conditions, the claim process, mandatory return before replacement, and ECM requirements — are set out in our Warranty Policy. The Limitation of Liability and Governing Law & Venue sections below apply to every warranty claim.

Limitation of Liability

Bennett Truck Center's total liability arising from any part or order, under any legal theory, is limited to the purchase price of the part giving rise to the claim.

Commercial Use

Parts sold by Bennett Truck Center are intended for commercial heavy-duty truck applications and are sold for commercial use.

Governing Law & Venue

These policies and all orders are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute arising from any order shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Bexar County, Texas.

How to Start a Return or Cancellation

Submit a Support Request or call or text 737-204-9316 with your invoice number and the parts involved.
